9 latest hospital, health system CEO moves

The following hospital and health system CEO moves were announced or made in the last week. They are listed below, beginning with the most recent.

1. Shelby Nelson, CEO of Platte County Memorial Hospital in Wheatland, Wyo., part of Phoenix-based Banner Health, will serve as interim CEO for Community Hospital in Torrington, Wyo., beginning in February.

2. Warren Forgey was named president and CEO of Schneck Medical Center. He will begin his tenure April 3, upon the retirement of the hospital's current leader, Gary Meyer.

3. Brookwood Medical Center in Birmingham, Ala., named Charles A. "Chuck" Stark, CEO.

4. Brooklyn (N.Y.) Hospital Center CEO, Richard Becker, MD, is stepping down to become CEO of New Found Health, a hospital and healthcare company affiliated with New York City-based Blue Wolf Capital Partners.

5. After 21 years of leadership, South Charleston, W.V.-based Thomas Health System president and CEO, Stephen P. Dexter, will retire July 31.

6. Terry Belmont, CEO of University of California Irvine Medical Center in Orange, announced his retirement, effective June 30.

7. Hilton Head (S.C.) Regional Healthcare appointed Jeremy Clark as CEO to succeed Mark O'Neil, who retired last November.

8. Southwest Georgia Medical Center in Cuthbert, part of Albany, N.Y.-based Phoebe Putney Health System, named Kim Gilman, RN, CEO and CNO.

9. Linda Grass is stepping down from her role as CEO of Jeanes Hospital, part of Philadelphia-based Temple University Health System, in March.
