8 latest CNO moves in hospitals, health systems

The following eight CNO moves have been announced since September, starting with the most recent.

1. West Valley Medical Center in Caldwell, Idaho, appointed Jennifer Wagenaar, BSN, MBA, as CNO.

2. Boca Raton, Fla.-based Cancer Treatment Centers of America named Nancy Hesse, MSN, RN, as CNO.

3. Amy Wilson, MSN, the CNO of Scared Heart Hospital in Pensacola, Fla., took on the additional role of COO.

4. Michelle Welander, MSN, DNP, became chief nursing and clinical services officer of Baston Children's Hospital in Jackson, Miss., and its statewide network of clinics, Children's of Mississippi.

5. Panama City, Fla.-based Bay Medical Center, part of the Sacred Heart Health System, named Jan Thornton, BSN, as CNO.

6. Deborah Burton, BSN, RN, retired from her position as vice president and CNO of West Georgia Health in LaGrange.

7. Marilyn Margolis, MSN, RN, vice president of operations and CNO of Emory Johns Creek (Ga.) Hospital, was named the hospital's interim CEO. While she serves in that capacity, Heather Redrick, MHA, BSN, RN, the director of the Emory Johns Creek ICU and observation unit, is the interim CNO.

8. Portland, Ore.-based Providence St. Vincent Medical Center named Jennifer Burrows, RN, MBA, as CNO.
