6 recent hospital CMO, CNO moves

Several hospital clinical executives retired or took new jobs recently. The following six hospital and health system CNO and CMO moves were reported by Becker's Hospital Review since the end of November.

They are listed below, starting with the most recent.

1. Sharp Grossmont Hospital in La Mesa, Calif., named Louise White, RN, as CNO and vice president of patient care services.

2. Charlottesville-based University of Virginia Health System appointed Chris Ghaemmaghami, MD, as permanent CMO of University of Virginia Medical Center. He had served as the hospital's interim CMO since February 2014.

3. Barnabas Health in West Orange, N.J., chose John Bonamo, MD, as its CMO. Dr. Bonamo previously served as CEO of Saint Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston, N.J.

4. James Griffee, MD, was named CMO of Slidell (La.) Memorial Hospital. He also became a part-time primary care physician in the SMH Physician Network outpatient clinic.

5. After 40 years in healthcare, Barbara Brown, RN, the vice president of clinical services and CNO of Trinity Health in Minot, N.D., announced plans to retire. She joined Trinity Health in 2010.

6. Faye Perry, the CNO of Gateway Medical Center in Clarksville, Tenn., resigned to take on a new role with Franklin, Tenn.-based Community Health Systems. She was replaced by Rhonda Mann, RN.
