5 things to know about South Georgia Medical Center's 2 new leaders

South Georgia Medical Center in Valdosta has announced two new leaders.

The hospital named Trinh Ramirez, RN, as director of internal audit for SGMC, its campuses and affiliated entities. It also named Peter Vandervoort as the administrative director of supply chain services for SGMC, its campuses and affiliates.  

Here are five things to know about Ms. Ramirez and Mr. Vandervoort.

1. Ms. Ramirez has been employed at SGMC for two and a half years, most recently serving as quality data analyst. She previously served as an internal auditor.

2. Ms. Ramirez received her bachelor’s degree in nursing at the University of South Alabama and a bachelor's degree in business administration and accounting from the University of Southern Mississippi.

3. Mr. Vandervoort, a military veteran, comes to Valdosta from Jackson Hospital & Clinics in Montgomery, Ala.

4. In his role with SGMC, Mr. Vandervoort will focus on supply chain business practices and development of expense reduction strategies, according to the hospital.

5. Mr. Vandervoort received his master's degree in acquisitions and logistics management from the Florida Institute of Technology.
