25 recent hospital, health system executive moves

The following hospital and health system executive moves were announced or made in the last week. They are listed below, beginning with the most recent.

1. Ste. Genevieve (Mo.) County Memorial Hospital named Jon Branstetter CFO.

2. Middlebury, Vt.-based Porter Medical Center has announced the appointment of Lynn Boggs, RN, as president and CEO to replace James L. Daily, who is retiring this year after 31 years in the role.

3. Hattiesburg, Miss.-based Wesley Medical Center appointed Warren Ladner CFO.

4. Houston-based Memorial Hermann Southeast Hospital announced the appointment of Kyle Price as the next CEO, effective April 5.

5. Greenville, N.C.-based Vidant Health named Michael Waldrum, MD, CEO.

6. Mike Ellis, CEO of Alpine, Texas-based Big Bend Regional Medical Center is leaving to lead Hill Regional Hospital in Hillsboro, Texas.

7. Josiah "Sy" Johnson, CEO and chief mission officer of the PeaceHealth Columbia Network, and Joanne Olsen, PeaceHealth Southwest chief administrative officer and CNO for PeaceHealth's Columbia Network, are leaving the system.

8. Oceanside, Calif.-based Tri-City Medical Center named Kirkpatrick "Kapua" Conley COO, effective April 1.

9. Estes Park (Colo.) Medical Center named Ryan D. White CFO, effective April 20.

10. Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper, Ind., named E. Kyle Bennett president and CEO, effective April 1.

11. Nashville, Tenn.-based Hospital Corporation of America selected Mark Rader to serve as CEO of its planned StoneSprings Hospital Center in Sterling, Va.

12. St. Louis-based Des Peres Hospital named Alexander J. Lovshin COO, effective March 16.

13. Chesterfield, Mo.-based Mercy Health named Gary Raju CFO for Mercy West Region, effective April 1.

14. Blessing Hospital in Quincy, Ill., named Elliot Kuida COO.

15. Houston-based Woman's Hospital of Texas named Ashley McClellan CEO, effective May 12.

16. Edward J. Benz Jr., MD, the longest-serving chief executive at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston, announced that he will leave the job in June 2016, a month after he turns 70.

17. East Morgan County Hospital in Brush, Colo., part of Phoenix-based Banner Health, named Edith Pemberton as its new CFO.

18. Jeff Davis, DO, was named CMO of Scotland County Hospital in Memphis, Mo.

19. Virginia Razo will resign from her role as interim CEO of Tahoe Forest Hospital District after serving in the role for just two months.

20. New Albany, Ind.-based Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services named Daniel J. Eichenberger, MD, interim CEO.

21. Bobbi Carbone, MD, president and COO of Winston-Salem, N.C.-based Wake Forest Baptist Health, and Mike Rutherford, CFO of Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center, are departing from the medical center after serving in their respective roles for just over one year.

22. Chad Eckes, vice president and CIO of Winston Salem, N.C.-based Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center, was named executive vice president and CFO of the hospital.

23. Greensboro, N.C.-based Cone Health promoted Bruce Swords, MD, PhD, to CMO.

24. Newburgh, N.Y.-based St. Luke's Cornwall Hospital announced the resignation of its president and CEO, Robert Ross. Mr. Ross will continue to serve the hospital in these roles until his departure in early June.

25. Denver-based DaVita HealthCare Partners CFO Garry Menzel announced his resignation.
