24 latest hospital, health system executive moves

The following hospital and health system executive moves were reported by Becker's Hospital Review in the last week. They are listed below, beginning with the most recent.

1. Sharon (Pa.) Regional Health System named Jason Roeback CEO, effective July 1.

2. Vibra Hospital of San Diego named Yameeka Jones CEO.

3. David Fuller, CEO of North Okaloosa Medical Center in Crestview, Fla., resigned June 23.

4. Michael McAnder was named CFO of Atlanta-based Piedmont Healthcare, effective July 13.

5. Chicago-based Presence Health appointed Sam Bagchi, MD, chief quality and medical officer.

6. Atlanta-based Piedmont Healthcare has chosen Patrick Battey, MD, as the next CEO of Piedmont Atlanta Hospital.

7. Michael Lally, CEO of Calais (Maine) Regional Hospital, resigned June 23.

8. Buffalo, N.Y.-based Erie County Medical Center Corp. appointed Mary Laski Hoffman, RN, COO and Julia Culkin-Jacobia chief people officer. 

9. Auburn, Ind.-based DeKalb Health named Craig Polkow CEO, effective Aug. 3.

10. Edward "Ed" Banos was named COO and executive vice president of San Antonio-based University Health System.

11. Kennewick, Wash.-based Trios Health appointed Brenda Atencio CNO.

12. Rockledge, Fla.-based Health First, an integrated delivery network in Central Florida, selected Alex Popowycz as senior vice president and CIO.

13. Houston-based Harris Health System named Maureen Padillato the full-time role of senior vice president and chief nurse executive, effective June 14.

14. Longview (Texas) Regional Medical Center named Casey Robertson CEO, effective July 27.

15. United Hospital District in Blue Earth, Minn., hired Richard Ash as CEO.

16. Lakeway (Texas) Regional Medical Center, which has struggled financially and was being run by an outside management company, chose Philippe Bochaton as CEO.

17. Crawford County Memorial Hospital in Denison, Iowa, hired Erin Muck as CNO.

18. Coquille (Ore.) Valley Hospital hired Karen Lautermilch as CEO.

19. MemorialCare Health System,  a six-hospital network based in Fountain Valley, Calif., announced that John Bishop, CFO of Long Beach (Calif.) Memorial, Miller Children's & Women's Hospital Long Beach (Calif.), Community Hospital Long Beach (Calif.) and Seaside Health Plan, was appointed CEO of the three hospitals.

20. Seattle-based Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center appointed Matthew Trunnell as vice president and CIO, effective August 31.

21. Nicholas "Nico" Tejeda is leaving his job as CEO of Doctors Hospital of Manteca (Calif.) to become the new CEO of Sierra Providence East Medical Center in El Paso, Texas.

22. Marsha D. Rappley, MD, was named Virginia Commonwealth University vice president for health sciences and CEO of the VCU Health System in Richmond, effective Aug. 15.

23. Cameron Memorial Community Hospital in Angola, Ind., named Connie McCahill president and CEO.

24. Altamonte Springs, Fla.-based Adventist Health System named Jim Boyle interim CEO of Central Texas Medical Center in San Marcos.
