22 Recent Hospital and Health System Executive Moves

The following hospital and health system executive moves occurred within the past two weeks, beginning with the most recent.

1. Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tenn., named Mitchell Edgeworth its COO and Robin Steaban its CNO of its hospital and clinics network.

2. Florida Hospital Wesley Chapel (Fla.) announced the appointment of Denyse Bales-Chubb as its CEO, effective August 1.

3. Maureen Tarrant was named president and CEO of HealthONE's Presbyterian/St. Luke's Medical Center and its Rocky Mountain Hospital for Children in Denver.

4. Aitkin, Minn.-based Riverwood Healthcare Center selected Casey Johnson as its CFO.

5. Penn Highlands Healthcare in DuBois, Pa., named Gary DuGan, MD, as the system's first CMO.

6. Louisville, Ky.-based Passport Health Plan named Troy May its new CIO.

7.  Grand Rapids, Mich.-based Spectrum Health announced Seth W. Wolk, MD, president of Spectrum Health Medical Group, will add CMO to his title.

8. Fort Lauderdale, Fla.-based Holy Cross Hospital named Taren Ruggiero, RN, MSN, its new CNO.

9. Kenneth J. Rempher, PhD, RN, was named the new CNO of the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics of Iowa City.

10. Harold L. Paz, MD, stepped down as CEO of Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center and joined Aetna as its new executive vice president and CMO.

11. Wilkes-Barre (Pa.) General Hospital named Lee G. Saltzgaber, MD, CMO.

12. Robert Pickoff, MD, was named CMO of Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Hamilton (N.J.).

13. River Park Hospital in McMinnville, Tenn., a part of the Capella-Saint Thomas system of hospitals, named Penny Kirby, RN, MSN, its new CNO.

14. St. Louis-based Ascension Health and Columbia St. Mary's Health System in Milwaukee announced Travis Anderson as its president and CEO, effective Aug. 4.

15. Houston-based Memorial Hermann Northwest Hospital named Wesley Tidwell as its new COO and Melody Dickerson as its new CNO.

16. Tom Jackson was named CEO of Tomball (Texas) Regional Medical Center, replacing Bud Wethington, who is accepting Mr. Jackson's former job as CEO of College Station (Texas) Medical Center.

17. Lance Porter was named CEO of Payson (Ariz.) Regional Medical Center.

18. Silver City, N.M.-based Gila Regional Medical Center announced the appointment of Omaira Heakin, CPA, CFO.

19. Oklahoma City-based Foundation HealthCare announced the appointment of Hubert King as CFO.

20. William Lunn, MD, will serve as CEO of New Orleans-based Tulane Medical Center, beginning Aug. 11.

21. Fort Wayne, Ind.-based Lutheran Health Network named Kenneth Jones CEO of its Fort Wayne-based St. Joseph Hospital.

22. KentuckyOne Health named 35-year healthcare veteran Randall Combs, CPA, as its new CFO.
