24 latest hospital, health system executive moves

The following hospital and health system executive moves were reported by Becker's Hospital Review in the last week. They are listed below, beginning with the most recent.

1. Cincinnati-based Mercy Health has appointed three senior executives. Anton Decker, MD, will serve as the system's chief clinical officer. Brian Smith was named system COO. Drew Banks was appointed system chief strategy officer.

2. Chicago-based Presence Health appointed Jim Kelly as system CFO.

3. Florida Hospital Waterman in Tavares named Anita Young COO.

4. New CEOs were named at Florida Hospital New Smyrna in New Smyrna Beach and Florida Hospital Flagler in Palm Coast. Ken Mattison, CEO of Florida Hospital Flagler, was appointed CEO of Florida Hospital New Smyrna, formerly Bert Fish Medical Center. Ronald Jimenez, MD, was named the new CEO of Florida Hospital Flagler.

5. Dallas-based Tenet Healthcare named Howard Hacker senior vice president and chief compliance officer, effective May 2.

6. Kim Pardini-Kiely, BSN, RN, was hired as COO and chief nurse executive for Seton Coastside in Moss Beach, Calif., and Seton Medical Center in Daly City, Calif.

7. Cincinnati-based TriHealth named David Cook Jr. senior vice president and chief human resources officer, effective May 2. 

8. Hollywood, Fla.-based Memorial Healthcare System named Aurelio M. Fernandez III president and CEO.

9. Aurora BayCare Medical Center in Green Bay, Wis., named Gary Collins, MD, CMO, effective in August.

10. Englewood, Colo.-based Centura Health named Peter D. Banko president and COO, effective May 1.

11. Brigham and Women's Health Care in Boston named Christopher Dunleavy senior vice president of finance and CFO, effective May 2.

12. John Gardner will begin serving as the Telluride (Colo.) Hospital District's CEO in June.

13. Dave Morlock, CEO of University of Toledo (Ohio) Medical Center, will leave his job June 1.

14. Kevin L. Lewis, MD, was named president of physicians' organization and ambulatory services for St. Anthony Physicians Group, SSM Health in Oklahoma.

15. Eboné M. Carrington was appointed CEO of NYC Health + Hospitals/Harlem, effective April 11.

16. Gregory Calliste was appointed CEO of NYC Health + Hospitals/Woodhull, effective April 11. 

17. La Crosse, Wis.-based Gundersen Health System named Dara Bartels CFO, a position she has filled on an interim basis since September.

18. David Dunlap, president and CEO of Charleston, S.C.-based Roper St. Francis, plans to retire by the end of 2016.

19. Orlando (Fla.) Health named Mark Marsh senior vice president for Orlando Health and president of Ocoee, Fla.-based Health Central Hospital, effective May 1.

20. Baltimore-based Sheppard Pratt Health System named Harsh K. Trivedi, MD, president and CEO, effective July 1.

21. Houston-based Memorial Hermann Health System appointed Nishant "Shaun" Anand, MD, physician-in-chief for MHMD, the Memorial Hermann Physician Network, effective June 2016. 

22. Virginia L. Golden was named CEO of St. Peter's Hospital and Albany Memorial Hospital, both in Albany, N.Y.

23. Lee Clinton was appointed CEO of Titusville (Pa.) Area Hospital and vice president of systems integration at Meadville (Pa.) Medical Center.

24. Richard "Rick" O. Sutton was appointed CEO of Southeast Alabama Medical Center in Dothan and president for the Alabama College of Osteopathic Medicine.
