20 recent hospital, health system executive moves

The following hospital and health system executive moves were announced or took place in the last week. They are listed below, beginning with the most recent.

1. Ronald A. Ott, president and CEO of Marshall, Mo.-based Fitzgibbon Hospital, plans to retire May 1 after leading the hospital for more than 20 years.

2. Memorial Hospital in Jasper, Ind., chose Stanley Tretter, MD, to serve as the hospital's first CMO.

3. Scotland County Hospital in Memphis, Mo., named Randall W. Tobler, MD, CEO.

4. Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, Kan., part of Nashville, Tenn.-based Hospital Corporation of America, named Tripp Owings COO of its planned children's hospital.

5. Amarillo, Texas-based BSA Health System named Lorenzo Olivarez Jr. CFO.

6. Cincinnati-based Mercy Health promoted Imran Andrabi, MD, to the newly created position of president and CEO/chief network integration officer of Mercy Health-Toledo (Ohio).

7. Des Moines, Iowa-based UnityPoint Health President and CEO Bill Leaver announced he will retire in January 2016. The health system has chosen Kevin Vermeer, executive vice president and chief strategy officer, to succeed him.

8. Trenton, N.J.-based St. Francis Medical Center, part of Livonia, Mich.-based Trinity Health, named Vincent Costantino chief administrative officer.

9. Indianapolis-based St. Vincent Health, part of St. Louis-based Ascension Health, named Cheryl Harmon CFO.

10. Great Neck, N.Y.-based North Shore-LIJ Health System named Anthony C. Ferreri executive vice president, chief affiliation officer and regional executive director for Westchester.

11. Anthony J. Tedeschi, MD, CEO of Weiss Memorial Hospital in Chicago, was promoted to CEO of Tenet Healthcare's Chicago market.

12. Lafayette, La.-based University Hospital & Clinics, part of Lafayette (La.) General Health, named Katie Herbert COO, effective March 23.

13. Hamilton Memorial Hospital District in McLeansboro, Ill., selected its interim CEO, Greg Sims, to serve in the position permanently.

14. University of California Los Angeles Medical Center in Santa Monica named Roger Lee, MD, as chief of staff.

15. Parkview Regional Hospital in Mexia, Texas, and Ennis (Texas) Regional Medical Center named Alan Daugherty CEO of both hospitals, effective March 2.

16. Gloversville, N.Y.-based Nathan Littauer Hospital announced Stephanie Fishel, RN, will be its vice president of patient care and CNO.

17. John Raffoul, DPA, was named president and CEO of White Memorial Medical Center in Los Angeles. Dr. Raffoul began his new role March 1.

18. Jonathan M. Weld, a trustee of The Brooklyn (N.Y.) Hospital Center, became interim president and CEO of the hospital March 1.

19. El Paso (Texas) Children's Hospital named Mark Herbers CEO. Mr. Herbers began this role Feb. 27.

20. Brandywine Hospital in Coatesville, Pa., named Jeffrey Holland interim CEO following the abrupt departure of CEO Bryan Burklow Feb. 27. Mr. Holland's appointment starts March 2.
