29 recent hospital, health system executive moves

The following hospital and health system executive moves were announced or made in the last two weeks. They are listed below, beginning with the most recent.

1. Riverton, Wyo.-based SageWest Health Care, part of Brentwood, Tenn.-based LifePoint Hospitals, named Jennifer Hamilton CFO of SageWest's hospitals in Riverton and Lander, Wyo.

2. Southwest Memorial Hospital in Cortez, Colo., named W. Kent Rogers CEO. His new role will start in March.

3. Deborah Proctor, president and CEO of Irvine, Calif.-based St. Joseph Health, will retire Dec. 31 after leading the system for 10 years.

4. Taos (N.M.) Health Systems named William D. Patten Jr., CEO.

5. Edgewood, Ky.-based St. Elizabeth Healthcare named Bruno Giacomuzzi COO of its Fort Thomas hospital.

6. Ann Holmes, RN, is now CNO of Paul Oliver Memorial Hospital, a hospital in Frankfort, Mich., that is part of Traverse City, Mich.-based Munson Healthcare.

7. Robert J. Erickson, CEO of St. Francis Health Center in Topeka, Kan., was named CEO of St. Joseph Medical Center in Kansas City, Mo.

8. Plano, Texas-based LifeCare Holdings, which operates LifeCare Hospitals, also based in Plano, named Frank J. Battafarano COO.

9. The Detroit Medical Center named Reginald J. Eadie, MD, to succeed Iris Taylor, PhD, RN, as CEO of DMC Detroit Receiving Hospital.

10. Cooperstown, N.Y.-based Bassett Healthcare Network named Michael Tengeres corporate vice president and CFO, effective April 6.

11. University of Cincinnati Health named its first CMO: William Hurford, MD.

12. John Dubis, president and CEO of Edgewood, Ky.-based St. Elizabeth Healthcare, stepped down after disclosing to managers that he was recently diagnosed with Parkinson's disease.

13. Moab (Utah) Regional Hospital selected Jennifer Sadoff to serve as acting CEO.

14. Gallipolis, Ohio-based Holzer Health System named Michael Canady, MD, CMO.

15. Jan McClure, CEO of Hill Regional Hospital in Hillsboro, Texas, will retire March 1 after 22 years at the helm.

16. Edmundson, Mo.-based Ascension Health announced the appointment of Jesse Jantzen as president and CEO of St. Louis-based Ascension Health Senior Care, effective March 27.

17. Whidbey General Hospital in Coupeville, Wash., selected Geri Forbes to succeed Tom Tomasino as CEO.

18. Freehold, N.J.-based CentraState Healthcare System announced the appointment of Thomas W. Scott as COO and senior vice president.

19. St. Bernard Parish Hospital in Chalmette, La., named its COO, Charles Lindell, CEO.

20. Brentwood, Tenn.-based Duke LifePoint Healthcare announced the appointment Brian Sinotte as CEO of Maria Parham Medical Center in Henderson, N.C., effective March 9.

21. Sullivan (Ind.) County Community Hospital named Scott Andritsch CFO.

22. Chad Melton was named CEO of Wythe County Community Hospital in Wytheville, Va.

23. Memorial Hospital in Martinsville, Va., named Michael D. Ehrat CEO. His new position will begin March 16.

24. Houston-based Texas Children's Hospital announced the appointment of Michelle Riley-Brown as president and Charles Hankins, MD, as CMO of Texas Children's Hospital The Woodlands (Texas).

25. Parker, Ariz.-based La Paz Regional Hospital named Robert Libberton CEO.

26. Kim Milstien, former chief of Simi Valley (Calif.) Hospital, will serve as CEO of Ventura County Medical Center beginning March 1.

27. Gary, Ind.-based Methodist Hospitals appointed Raymond Grady as president and CEO, effective Feb. 23.

28. Memorial Hermann The Woodlands (Texas) Hospital named Christopher J. Langan, MD, regional CMO and Christine M. Lee, MD, chief of staff.

29. Richard (Dick) Daniels was named executive vice president and CIO of Oakland, Calif.-based Kaiser Permanente.
