16 Hospital and Health System Executive Moves

The following hospital and health system executive moves happened in the past week, beginning with the most recent.

1. Toppenish (Wash.) Community Hospital selected Perry Gay as CEO.

2. Yakima (Wash.) Regional Medical and Cardiac Center named Veronica Knudson permanent CEO.

3. Coopertown, N.Y.-based Bassett Healthcare and Bassett Medical Center selected Vance Brown, MD, as president and CEO, effective July 1.

4. David Nicely, vice president and CEO of Washington County Hospitals, including Johnson City (Tenn.) Medical Center, is leaving to accept a new position in middle Tennessee.

5. Doug Lafferty, CEO of Plumas District Hospital in Quincy, Calif., left his position, according to a Plumas County News report.

6. Hills & Dales General Hospital in Cass City, Mich., named Jean Anthony president and CEO, effective immediately, according to a Huron County Press report.

7. Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas named Ron Laxton COO, according to a report by The Dallas Morning News.

8. Interfaith Medical Center in Brooklyn, N.Y., selected Steven Korf as CEO, according to a Capital New York report.

9. Three Rivers Hospital in Brewer, Wash., named Scott Graham CEO, according to a Methow Valley News report.

10. North Canyon Medical Center in Gooding, Idaho, selected Tim Powers as CEO, according to a Magic Valley report.

11. Charles Gijanto, CEO of Baystate Franklin Medical Center in Greenfield, Mass., and Baystate Mary Lane Hospital in Ware, Mass., announced his decision to resign, effective June 27, according to a report by The Republican Newsroom.

12. Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Hamilton in Hamilton Township, N.J., named L. Gil Cottle senior vice president and CFO.

13. Gary Jepson, president and CEO of Pekin (Ill.) Hospital, is stepping down to accept a new position with Mercy System in Oklahoma City.

14. High Point (N.C.) Regional Health named Ernie Bovio president and CEO, effective in early May.
