16 Latest CEO Moves in Hospitals, Health Systems

 The following presidents and CEOs were named to lead hospitals or health systems, or they announced their departures, within the past week.

 The listing begins with moves most recently covered by Becker's Hospital Review.

1. Wilson Memorial Hospital in Sidney, Ohio, named Mark Dooley president and CEO, effective June 16.

2. Loma Linda (Calif.) University Medical selected Kerry Heinrich as interim CEO, effective July 1.

3. Spence Maidlow, president and CEO of Saginaw, Mich.-based Covenant HealthCare, announced plans to retire Dec. 31. Ed Bruff, executive vice president and COO of the organization, will become the next president and CEO.

4. Morgantown-based West Virginia University Hospitals selected Albert Wright Jr., PharmD, as president and CEO, effective August 11.

5. Pocono Medical Center in East Stroudsburg, Pa., named Jeff Snyder president and CEO.

6. Bill Hawley, CEO of Bluefield (W. Va.) Regional Medical Center, resigned.

7. Nacogdoches (Texas) Memorial Hospital selected Scott Street as CEO, effective July 7.

8. Frank Corvino, president and CEO of Greenwich (Conn.) Hospital, announced plans to retire on Dec. 31.

9. Acadia General Hospital in Crowley, La., appointed Heather Harper CEO, effective June 16.

10. Gary Robertson, CEO of Ferry County Public Hospital District in Republic, Wash., announced plans to retire in October 2014.

11. Logan (W. Va.) Regional Medical Center appointed Jerry Dooley interim CEO.

12. DMC Sinai-Grace Hospital in Detroit selected Paula Autry as CEO, effective June 30.

13. Jim Pernau, CEO of Edgerton (Wis.) Hospital, announced plans to retire in mid-July.

14. Las Vegas-based Renown Health appointed Anthony Slonim, MD, president and CEO, effective in early July.

15. River Region Medical Center in Vicksburg, Miss., selected Gregory Pearson as interim CEO.

16. Larry Walker retired from his post as CEO of Hardy Wilson Memorial Hospital, a critical access hospital in Hazlehurst, Miss., in April.
