14 Hospital and Health System Executive Moves

The following hospital and health system executive moves happened in the past week, beginning with the most recent.

1. Richmond University Medical Center in Staten Island, N.Y., selected Daniel Messina, PhD, as president and CEO.

2. Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames, Iowa, named Gary Botine vice president and CFO.

3. Dallas-based Forest Park Medical Center named John O'Neill CEO of its campus in Austin that is expected to open in the second quarter of 2015, according to the hospital.

4. Banner Fort Collins (Colo.) Medical Center selected John D'Angelo as its first COO.

5. Toledo, Ohio-based Mercy Health System restructured its leadership organization, eliminating the job of CEO Andrea Price, according to a Toledo Blade report.

6. Summerville (S.C.) Medical Center named Lisa Valentine CEO, effective May 1.

7. St. Mary's Hospital in Decatur, Ill., selected Dan Perryman as president and CEO, effective March 31.

8. Margaret Peterson, PhD, CEO of Desert Valley Hospital in Victorville, Calif., resigned from her post to accept a "similar position" at California Hospital Medical Center in Los Angeles, according to a Victorville Daily Press report.

9. Tristan Glanville, CFO of Ticonderoga, N.Y.-based Inter-Lakes Health, announced plans to leave the health system to accept the CFO role at Tupper Lake, N.Y.-based Adirondack Health, according to a Press Republican report.

10. St. Anthony Shawnee (Okla.) Hospital selected Angi Mohr, RN, as executive vice president and COO.

11. Ora Pescovitz, MD, CEO of Ann Arbor-based University of Michigan Health System and executive vice president of medical affairs of the university, announced plans to step down from her positions, effective June 1, according to a blog post she wrote.

12. University Health at Shreveport (La.), formerly Louisiana State University Health, named Rodney Huebbers CEO, effective May 1, according to a Shreveport Times report.

13. Meldon Snow, CEO of Murray County Medical Center in Slayton, Minn., resigned, according to a KWOA report.

14. Rick Carter, CEO of Valley View Medical Center in Fort Mohave, Ariz., announced plans to resign, effective March 31, according to a Mohave Daily News report.
