The following hospital and health system executive moves were reported in the past week, beginning with the most recent.
1. Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital-Plymouth (Mass.) named Jason Radzevich, MBA, CPA, as CFO.
2. Eric Looper, CEO of St. Joseph Hospital in Fort Wayne, Ind., will step down July 3 for a new position with Baylor Scott & White Health in Dallas.
3. Doug Jones, CEO of Down East Community Hospital in Machias, Maine, stepped down from his position.
4. Three executives will be leaving their positions from Coulee Medical Center in Grand Coulee, Wash.: Alan Wagner, COO, will leave June 1; Joe Vessey, CFO will step down in June; and Steve Becker, director of communications and marketing, will step down July 1.
5. Bluefield (W. Va.) Regional Medical Center appointed David Henry CEO, effective June 2.
6. St. Vincent Indianapolis Hospital selected Erica Wehrmeister as COO, effective June 30.
7. Ken Bateman, president and CEO of Somerset Medical Center in Somerville, N.J., along with seven other members of the hospital's executive team, is voluntarily stepping down when the hospital's merger with Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, N.J., takes effect.
8. Research Medical Center in Kansas City, Mo., named Eric Becker COO.
9. Linda Horn, CEO of Sutter Coast Hospital in Crescent City, Calif., announced plans to step down from her position after learning her cancer has returned. She is a nine-year cancer survivor.
10. Raleigh, N.C.-based WakeMed Health & Hospitals selected Donald Gintzig as president and CEO, according to the health system.
11. James Thaw, president and CEO of Athens (Ga.) Regional Health System, has resigned.
12. Winston-Salem, N.C.-based Novant Health rearranged its executive leadership and filled three executive positions. Jeff Lindsay was appointed executive vice president and COO of the system, effective June 1. Denise Mihal, RN, will become senior vice president of the greater Winston-Salem market and president of Forsyth Medical Center. Sean Sanz will serve as COO of Forsyth Medical Center.
13. Community Memorial Hospital in Hicksville, Ohio, selected Michelle Waggoner as CEO.
