The following hospital and health system executive moves occurred within the last week. They are listed below, beginning with the most recent.

1. Vince DiFranco, MHA, CEO of Community Hospital in Torrington, Wyo., resigned to become CEO of Plains Regional Medical Center in Clovis, N.M. Mr. DiFranco will depart from Community Hospital Feb. 5, 2015.

2. Hammond-Henry Hospital in Geneseo, Ill., appointed Florence Spyrow, MHA, JD, interim CEO.

3. Colorado Plains Medical Center in Fort Morgan, part of Brentwood, Tenn.-based LifePoint Hospitals named Gene O'Hara, PhD, MHA, CEO, effective Jan. 5, 2015.

4. South Central Kansas Medical Center in Arkansas City, Kan., named Virgil Watson Jr., MPHA, CEO, effective January 2015.

5. Madison, Wis.-based Meriter-UnityPoint Health, part of Des Moines, Iowa-based UnityPoint Health, appointed Arthur Nizza, DSW, president and CEO, effective Feb. 16.

6. Edgewood, Ky.-based St. Elizabeth Healthcare named Lori Ritchey-Baldwin CFO.

7. After 40 years in healthcare, Barbra Brown, RN, BSN, vice president of clinical services and CNO of Trinity Health in Minot, N.D., announced she will retire.

8. Detroit Medical Center Huron Valley-Sinai Hospital in Commerce Township, Mich., promoted its COO, Karen Fordham, MBA, to CEO, effective Jan. 1.

9. St. Francis Medical Center in Monroe, La., part of Baton Rouge, La.-based Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady Health System, named Kristin Wolkart president and CEO.

10. Brent A. Marsteller, president and CEO of Cabell Huntington (W.Va.) Hospital, announced his retirement, effective Dec. 31.

11. Nyack (N.Y.) Hospital named Mark Geller, MD, interim CEO.
