10 things to know about 3 leaders at Banner Health Network, Banner Network Colorado

Phoenix-based Banner Health has announced leadership changes at Banner Health Network, its accountable care organization in Arizona, and Banner Network Colorado, a provider network serving beneficiaries in Larimer and Weld counties.

Chuck Lehn, former CEO of Banner Health Network and Banner Network Colorado, was named executive vice president of strategic growth for Banner Health in April, spurring the following three leadership changes, which are effective immediately.

Here are 10 things to know about the three leaders.

Lisa Stevens Anderson, formerly COO, has been named CEO of Banner Health Network.

1. Ms. Stevens Anderson joined Banner Health in April 2013.

2. Prior to joining Banner Health, Ms. Stevens Anderson was vice president of provider services at Phoenix-based TriWest Healthcare Alliance.

Paul Kellogg, formerly managed care physician contract senior director, has been named vice president of Banner Network Colorado and Western Regional Business Development.

3. Mr. Kellogg joined Banner Health in 1998 and has served in a number of managed care and contracting roles.

4. Most recently, Mr. Kellogg served as managed care physician contract senior director, where he was responsible for developing and implementing managed care strategies for 11 hospitals, more than 300 providers, ambulatory centers and home-based services.

5. Mr. Kellogg also led network development activities for Banner Health’s self-funded health plan in Colorado, Nebraska and Wyoming.

6. Mr. Kellogg previously worked for a number of healthcare and health plan organizations in the Midwest.

7. Mr. Kellogg is a member of Colorado Managed Care Contractors, The Leaders Board and Colorado Healthcare Strategy and Management.

Nishant (Shaun) Anand, MD, formerly senior medical director for Banner Health Network, will now serve as CMO.

8. Dr. Anand is an accomplished physician leader at Banner Health, and is board- certified in emergency medicine.

9. Prior to his current role, Dr. Anand was vice president of business development, then CMO, for emergency professional services in Phoenix.

10. Dr. Anand is a clinical assistant professor at the University of Arizona College of Medicine in Phoenix.
