CFO Tom Litaker: Strong Performance at Skagit Regional Health

Tom Litaker is CFO of Skagit Valley Hospital in Mount Vernon, Wash., a position he's held since July 2003, and later became CFO for Skagit Regional Health at large.

Tom Litaker is CFO of Skagit Regional Health.Before joining Skagit, Mr. Litaker was CFO of Affiliated Health Services, also based in Mount Vernon, Wash., since 1995. He previously worked in healthcare administration and financial leadership roles in Tacoma, Wash., including as administrative director of financial services of St. Joseph Medical Center, which is part of Franciscan Health System, and as corporate controller for five-hospital MultiCare.

Moody's Investors Service assigned a "Baa2" rating to $32.7 million of Skagit Regional Health's debt, with an additional $117 million of outstanding rated debt. The credit rating agency noted Skagit's strong 50 percent market share, growing steadily in the cardiac care service lines. Last fiscal year, the system reported an operating cash flow margin of 10.5 percent and held 119 days cash on hand at year end 2012.

Mr. Litaker earned his bachelor's degree in accounting from Central Washington University and his MBA in finance from City University.
