CFO Steve Moore: Integrating HighPoint Health With LifePoint Hospitals

For any hospital CFO, becoming a part of a new system is a daunting and challenging task, but for Steve Moore, CFO of HighPoint Health System in Gallatin, Tenn., it has been an opportunity.

Steve MooreIn September 2010, Brentwood, Tenn.-based LifePoint Hospitals acquired HighPoint Health, then known as Sumner Regional Health Systems, for $145 million. In honor of Mr. Moore's work integrating the health system into LifePoint, LifePoint presented him with the LifePoint Hospitals 2011 CFO of the Year award.

"Steve is an effective leader with a calm demeanor and steady hand," said LifePoint Hospitals Division CFO Jon Wall in a news release. "Following the acquisition, Steve was instrumental in ensuring the successful transition of HighPoint to LifePoint's operational systems."

Mr. Moore has been the CFO of HighPoint Health since November 2010. Previously, he was CFO of Southern Tennessee Medical Center in Winchester and its Emerald Hodgson Hospital campus in Sewanee. He also served as assistant CFO at North Okaloosa Medical Center in Crestview, Fla., and as controller for several hospitals in West Virginia.
