NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital in New York City is a cornerstone of medical milestones in the U.S. healthcare system, but who manages the fiscal side of one of the most influential hospitals in the country?

Phyllis Lantos manages the finances of one of the largest and most medically influential hospitals in the country.Phyllis Lantos has been CFO of NewYork-Presbyterian since 2000, where she is responsible for all financial matters related to the hospital, including financial reporting, financial planning, revenue cycle, budget, reimbursement, cost accounting, financing, insurance and managed care.

Before joining NewYork-Presbyterian, she served as deputy COO at the Yale University School of Medicine in New Haven, Conn., and vice president of financial management services at Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx. The Massachusetts Institute of Technology alumna also has held positions with the City of New York and Chemical Bank.

Ms. Lantos has said the long-term financial stability of NewYork-Presbyterian is of the utmost importance, as the hospital helps "to shape healthcare policy decisions with the goal of providing appropriate funding for and improved delivery of care in New York and nationally."
