CFO Monte Ward: Continuous Growth at Cabell Huntington Hospital

Monte Ward is CFO of Cabell Huntington (W.V.) Hospital, a 313-bed acute care facility affiliated with the Marshall University School of Medicine. He began at Cabell in 1978 as the hospital's controller, rising to the CFO post in 1982. Mr. Ward, a CPA, previously worked in the healthcare division of accounting firm Hayflich and Steinberg.

Monte Ward is CFO of Cabell Huntington Hospital.Moody's Investors Service affirmed its Baa1 rating on Cabell's $94.3 million of debt in March, citing its continually improving operating results, growing its fiscal year 2012 operating margin nearly 3 percentage points and its operating cash flow margin more than 2 percentage points to 4.6 percent and 9.9 percent, respectively.

Mr. Ward earned his bachelor's degree in accounting and his MBA from Marshall University, as well as a master's degree in healthcare administration from Trinity University.
