CFO Mark Mumford: Breaking Into a New Industry at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center

Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center has seen strong operating margins with Mark Mumford serving as CFO.

Moody's Investors Service assigned an "Aa2" rating to Cincinnati Children's bonds. Among its strengths, the hospital had operating margins of 6 to 7 percent in fiscal years 2012 and 2013. The outlook for the hospital is stable, according to Moody's.

Mr. Mumford took on the role of CFO in January 2013. He replaced Scott Hamlin, who is now Cincinnati Children's COO. Most recently, Mr. Mumford was CFO of P.F. Chang's China Bistro, a national chain that operates more than 375 restaurants. He has also held financial leadership positions with PetSmart and MicroAge, a technology sales company.
