CFO Kathy Lancaster: Strategic Planning at Kaiser Foundation Hospitals

Kaiser Permanente is one of the most well-known integrated health systems and health maintenance organizations in the country, and Kathy Lancaster heads the finances and strategic planning of Kaiser Foundation Hospitals, its large, non-profit hospital arm.

Ms. Lancaster has served as KFH's CFO since 2005 and oversees several factions of the organization's finances, including treasury, procurement, supply chain, revenue cycle and Sarbanes-Oxley implementation.

Fitch Ratings has backed up Ms. Lancaster's and the entire Kaiser team's strong financials over the years with investment-grade level credit ratings. Kaiser is a multibillion dollar system with an A+ credit rating, and KFH's commercial paper program recently had its F1 rating affirmed this past April.

Before arriving at Kaiser, Ms. Lancaster worked with Prudential Insurance's western region and led its HMO in northern California.
