CFO Henry Franey: Financial Expertise Within the University of Maryland Medical System

Henry Franey has more than 30 years of experience within the hospital and healthcare sector, and he currently oversees the financial strategy of the University of Maryland Medical System, the third-largest employer in the Baltimore metro area.

Henry Franey is CFO of University of Maryland Medical System.Mr. Franey became CFO of UMMS is 2009. From 1992 until that point, he had been senior vice president and CFO of the University of Maryland Medical Center, the academic medical center and flagship of the system. As CFO of the 11-hospital, $2 billion UMMS, Mr. Franey oversees all fiscal services, including capital planning, investment and debt management, rate setting and reimbursement and financial reporting.

In Mr. Franey's early healthcare career before UMMC, he was a healthcare consulting partner at a Baltimore-based office of KPMG, an international accounting firm.
