CFO Gail Kosyla: Hunterdon Healthcare's New Financial Force
Gail Kosyla is a newcomer to Flemington, N.J.-based Hunterdon Healthcare, being named to the system's CFO role just last month.
She arrives while the system is in good financial shape, with a February Fitch rating of "A" on $38.3 million of debt. As of Dec. 31, 2011, the system held a 61 percent market share and was the only acute-care provider in the county. The company closed 2011 with a 7.5 percent operating margin, and despite closing primary care facilities resulting from Superstorm Sandy, it expects to top $10 million in operating income for FY 2012.
Prior to her current role, Ms. Kosyla worked in senior financial leadership positions in hospitals across the Newtown Square, Pa.-based Catholic Health East system for 20 years, including CFO roles for the past 11 years.
Ms. Kosyla, a certified public accountant and Lean Six Sigma yellow belt, earned her bachelor's degree in business administration and a dual MBA in health administration and master's degree in healthcare finance from Temple University.
