CFO Derrick Hollings: Growing to Meet Demand at Eastern Maine Healthcare Systems

As much as 80 percent of Mainers depend on Eastern Maine Healthcare Systems' tertiary services, which is one reason why the system depends on its CFO, Derrick Hollings.

Derrick Hollings is CFO of Eastern Maine Healthcare Systems.To keep up with demand, the seven-hospital non-profit system, based in Brewer, Maine, is selling $149.7 million in bonds to fund a $164.6 million expansion of Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor, which serves 40 percent of the state's population.

Mr. Hollings, a CPA, previously served as CFO and executive vice president of hospital operations at United Medical Center in Washington, D.C. He also served as CFO at Stamford (Conn.) Hospital, Howard University Hospital in Washington D.C., and University of Massachusetts Medical Center in Worcester.
