Pamela Davis CEO of Edward Hospital Fights Corruption in IllinoisMs. Davis was an integral aspect of a five-year investigation into Illinois corruption leading to the arrest and recent imprisonment of former Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich and other state officials.

In 2003, Stuart Levin, a member of the Illinois Health Facilities Planning Board, approached Ms. Davis, claiming he could secure approval of an Edward Hospital proposal to expand into Plainfield, Ill., if Ms. Davis hired his friends as contractors. Instead of complying, she went to the FBI and agreed to wear a wire, allowing the FBI to tape conversations secretly for months. Ms. Davis' cooperation led to charges against Stuart Levine, Tony Rezko and Rod Blagojevich.

Ms. Davis has served Edward Hospital as president and CEO since 1988. Her arrival marked the beginning of dramatic growth and innovation resulting in Edward becoming one of the best hospitals for overall quality in Chicago's west and southwest suburbs. Ms. Davis is a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives and was a 1990 fellow in the Leadership Greater Chicago program.
