CEO Linda B. Russell: Commitment to Women, Children at The Woman's Hospital of Texas

Linda Russell serves as CEO of The Woman's Hospital of Texas in Houston and embodies the hospital's mission of compassionate and exceptional care to women and infants.

Ms. Russell has guided the hospital's vision since 1994, helping to grow the hospital in size and prestige. More and more women are choosing to have their babies at The Woman's Hospital of Texas than any other hospital in Houston, according to the hospital. Under her tenure, the hospital has also been nationally recognized for its surgeons, perinatologists and neonatologists in its care for even the tiniest of patients.

Ms. Russell's commitment to women and children also extends beyond the hospital walls. She serves on the Judicial Compensation Commission for Governor Rick Perry. She also serves on the March of Dimes board of directors and executive board as well as its state executive committee. Ms. Russell serves on the board of directors for the gulf coast regional blood center as well.

In 2007, Ms. Russell was named outstanding volunteer fundraiser for the Texas chapter of the March of Dimes. In 2009, she was named administrator of the year at the Houston Business Journal's inaugural Health Care Heroes awards event.
