CEO Laurie Eberst: Bringing Recognition to St. John's Hospitals

Laurie Eberst, RN, has served as president and CEO of St. John's Hospitals in Oxnard, Calif., since 2010.

As CEO of St. John's Hospitals, Ms. Eberst oversees all of St. John's facilities, which includes St. John's Regional Medical Center in Oxnard and St. John's Pleasant Valley Hospital in Camarillo, Calif.

Prior to joining St. John's, Ms. Eberst served as the president of Mercy Gilbert (Ariz.) Medical Center. Under her leadership, Mercy Gilbert was recognized as a healing hospital by The Baptist Healing Trust.

Ms. Eberst has also brought success and recognition to St. John's Hospitals. In June, St. John's Regional Medical Center received the Oxnard Trophy Award, which is given to an organization that brought recognition to Oxnard and contributed to the betterment of the community. "St. John's community boards, employees, physicians, volunteers and community leaders are the fabric of our hospitals," Ms. Eberst said in a press release after receiving the award. "Their contributions over the decades have played a significant role in establishing St. John's rich and enduring legacy."

In recognition of her history of strong leadership, Ms. Eberst was named to Becker's Hospital Review's 2012 list of 120 Women Hospital and Health System Leaders to Know.
