Kevin Tabb, MD, has been president and CEO of Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston since October 2011.KevinTabb

Since he started his role as CEO, Dr. Tabb has been working with physician and hospital leadership to position the medical center for success under healthcare reform. He plans to strengthen and expand BIDMC's network and partnerships, optimize the business structure to foster better alignments and build a market-leading care management capability to improve patient care.

Prior to being CEO of BIDMC, Dr. Tabb was the CMO of Stanford Hospital & Clinics in Palo Alto, Calif., where he had broad strategic and operational responsibilities, including physician network strategy and clinical quality and patient safety initiatives.

Dr. Tabb was raised in Berkeley, Calif., but immigrated to Israel when he was 18 years old and served in the Israel Defense Forces. He earned is medical degree from Hebrew University – Hadassah Medical School in Jerusalem, Israel.

Dr. Tabb made Becker's Hospital Review's list of 100 physician leaders of hospitals and health systems in 2012.
