ZingBox, a Mountain View, Calif.-based IT security startup, said Aug. 17 the company raised $22 million in a Series B funding round led by Dell Technologies Capital and Triventures.
ZingBox, an Internet of Things security solution provider, will use the investment to improve its IoT Guardian product. With IoT Guardian, ZingBox provides hospitals, manufacturing facilities and other companies with a machine learning solution that assesses security risk according to an organization's typical behavior. Its goal is to detect abnormal activities across the organization's IoT footprint.
ZingBox will use the additional funding to increase its workforce and expand its market research, among other tasks related to accelerating product capabilities.
