Rhode Island Regional Extension Center to Help Specialists in EHR Adoption, Meaningful Use

The Rhode Island Regional Extension Center is widening its programs to include help for specialists interested in adopting an electronic health record system and attesting to meaningful use, according to an EHR Intelligence report.

Specialists often struggle with the requirements for the EHR incentive program and miss out on government reimbursements for EHR use. The Rhode Island Regional Extension Center has already helped more than 1,000 providers achieve stage 1 meaningful use.
