Pennsylvania hospital IT team delivers turkeys to those in need

In light of the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday, employees of Easton (Pa.) Hospital's IT department partnered with several organizations to raise $1,100 to purchase turkeys for four nonprofits, according to Lehigh Valley Live.

EastonHospital worked with Bethlehem, Pa.-based RCN, Wayne, Pa.-based Crothall Healthcare, West Reading, Pa.-based Edwards Business Systems and Allentown, Pa.-based GC Electric to raise the funds and buy 350 turkeys.

On Nov. 21, employees from Easton Hospital, RCN and Crothall Healthcare delivered the turkeys to four nonprofit organizations.

  • Easton, Pa.-based Safe Harbor received 75 turkeys.
  • Easton, Pa.-based Third Street Alliance for Women and Children received 30 turkeys.
  • Easton (Pa.) Area Community Center received 30 turkeys.
  • The Salvation Army in Easton, Pa., received 215 turkeys.

Additionally, the organizations donated $400 to SafeHarbor to fund the purchase of other holiday food.
