The ONC has released the Blue Button Toolkit, a set of resources designed to help organizations integrate Blue Button functionality into their patient-facing offerings.
Blue Button is a symbol indicating patients' online records are available for them to download. It is also an initiative launched by the ONC and several other federal agencies to help providers better engage patients in their own care.
The toolkit contains technical standards for data-sharing along with marketing materials to help providers explain the benefits of online medical record access to patients.
