NueMD offers free ICD-10 training tool

Medical practice management software provider NueMD is offering a free ICD-10 training tool for healthcare professionals still preparing for the Oct. 1 transition date.

The ICD-10 Training Lab features code searches and training games.

The company developed the tool after results from a NueMD survey found just 11.4 percent of healthcare professionals said they felt "highly confident" they would be properly trained for ICD-10 by the transition date.

"After seeing the survey results, we wanted to do our part to ease those tensions," said Caleb Clarke, director of sales and marketing at NueMD. "We hear you. And we've created the lab to help get everyone up to speed."
