The Japanese system integration company NTT Data has acquired Plano, Texas-based Dell Services for $3.1 billion.
This acquisition extends NTT Data's consulting capabilities and IT services. John McCain, CEO of NTT DATA, will be responsible for leading the business, as Suresh Vaswani, president of Dell Services, transitions out of his role. Mr. Vaswani will continue to lead the business through the end of January 2017.
The former Dell Services business will be called NTT DATA Services on an interim basis.
