The second annual National Health IT Week kicks off today with a full slate of events ranging from exhibitions to policy discussions.
Co-hosted by HIMSS, the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives and the Institute for e-Health Policy, the goal is to educate consumers and policymakers about health IT and emphasize the value of technology in healthcare.
One of the main events happening Monday is the 2014 Annual Consumer IT Summit, hosted by the ONC. The event will feature HHS, Congressional, patient advocate and healthcare industry speakers discussing advancements in patient engagement and ways to connect consumers even more with their healthcare.
