McKesson invests in PokitDok

McKesson Ventures, the venture capital arm of McKesson, has made a strategic investment in PokitDok, a company providing a development platform of application programming interfaces to process healthcare business transactions, like eligibility checks, claims, scheduling and payments.

The companies did not indicate how much McKesson invested in PokitDok or PokitDok's valuation.

"Our new relationship with McKesson Ventures will encourage productive innovation around certain critical issues in healthcare, including interoperability and technology changes to the underlying system that legislation continues to drive," according to a PokitDok blog post announcing the investment.
