Mayo Clinic, Sensely collaborate on patient assessment solution

Rochester, Minn.-based Mayo Clinic joined forces with Sensely to support the health IT company's virtual medical assistant app.

The app, which supports more than 20 conditions and protocols, focuses on patient engagement and chronic disease monitoring. Under the agreement, Mayo Clinic will provide health guidance and triage algorithms to improve Sensely's patient assessment services.

"We are collaborating on solutions that would allow people to receive trusted health guidance and information, leading to more appropriate diagnosis and treatments," said Adam Odessky, founder and CEO of Sensely. "We hope to assess and predict what healthcare resources can best assist patients at their time of need without them needing to leave their homes."
