"Rainy, windswept and inspired" is how athenahealth CEO Jonathan Bush described his week at this year's JP Morgan Healthcare Conference in San Francisco.
In a recent LinkedIn post, Mr. Bush touched on the "four-day torrential downpour" that enveloped San Francisco during the conference. But on a deeper level, he wrote about how information sharing and innovation in the healthcare sector need to improve.
"I couldn't be more excited to speak with entrepreneurs at JPM who are doing their part to ensure the dream never touches paper — the folks that understand that innovating in silos won't get us anywhere," Mr. Bush wrote.
In closing, Mr. Bush highlighted the need to bring humanity back to healthcare. "Once we bring humanity to the way we innovate, regulate and share across healthcare, we'll have navigated that perfect storm to push healthcare to new heights," he wrote.
