Interoperability-focused startup Sansoro Health gains $5.2M in new funding

Minneapolis-based start-up Sansoro Health raised $5.2 million in Series A funding round. The company focuses on furthering interoperability efforts.

Sansoro Health aims to make the exchange of real-time healthcare data between digital health applications and EMRs possible. Its integration software Emissary securely connects third-party digital applications and EMRs allowing data exchange between the two. Thus far, 20 healthcare organizations have implemented Emissary. The company will use the new funding to expand sales, marketing and operations.

Sansoro Health's executive leadership is comprised of IT leaders with experience at organizations such as Reston, Va.-based Leidos Health, North Kansas, Mo.-based Cerner and the Cleveland Clinic. The company received $1.2 million in seed funding in 2016.
