Bird Blitch will step down from his post as fiscal year 2017 chair of the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society's Revenue Cycle Improvement Task Force, Mr. Blitch wrote in a HIMSS blog post June 19.
Mr. Blitch, co-founder and CEO of Patientco, joined RCITF in 2015. When detailing RCITF's accomplishments from 2017, Mr. Blitch noted it published part two of a five-part series called "The Patient Financial Experience of the Future," which emphasized the physician perspective in revenue cycle management. RCITF expects to release part three, which will focus on hospitals, in July.
RCITF named Beth Griffin, chief product and marketing officer of Healthcare Payment Systems, its chair for fiscal year 2018. Ms. Griffin has more than 30 years of experience in healthcare and financial services.
