HHS announces round two of State Innovation Model funding

HHS is providing more than $660 million to 32 awardees in round two of the State Innovation Models initiative.

The SIM initiative aims to provide financial and technical support to states developing and testing state-led, multi-payer healthcare payment and service delivery models to improve health system performance, increase quality of care and decrease federal payer costs.

In round one, approximately $300 million was awarded to 25 states to design and test such payment and service delivery models. Round two will focus on the implementation of these models.
