Grand Rounds, Johns Hopkins expand access to neurosurgery, orthopedic care

San Francisco-based digital health company Grand Rounds and Baltimore-based Johns Hopkins Medicine are joining forces to connect more patients with Johns Hopkins physicians.

Here are three things to know.

1. The agreement aims to connect patients nationwide with Johns Hopkins neurosurgeons and orthopedic specialists..

2. Under the agreement, Grand Rounds users will have access to in-person visits and remote consultations with select Johns Hopkins physicians.

3. "We are excited to be working together with Grand Rounds to reach even more patients who need our specialized services, regardless of where they live," Mark Shaver, vice president of business development and strategic alliances at Johns Hopkins Medicine, said in the release. "Our experts, who are uniquely trained and experienced to treat clinically complex cases, are poised to extend their expertise to help those in need."
