Former Cleveland Clinic CMIO David Levin joins PeraHealth as physician executive

David Levin, MD, has been named a physician executive for clinical surveillance software company PeraHealth.

Dr. Levin previously was CMIO of the Cleveland Clinic Health System, where he founded the system's Clinical Decision Support Center for Excellence. He also helped to found the system's Clinical Systems Office, which supports clinical IT systems worldwide. Dr. Levin also served as vice president of Norfolk, Va.-based Sentara Healthcare, where he led its EHR implementation effort, according to a news release.

Dr. Levin will work with the Charlotte, N.C.-based PeraHealth to improve care coordination and adopt technology to reduce risk to patients.

PeraHealth provides remote patient monitoring technology, chronic disease management tools and care coordination software, according to the news release.
