Here are five recent news updates on key health IT companies.

1. athenahealth is launching an Innovation Challenge as part of its More Disruption Please program.

2. Allscripts was recognized on the Journal of mHealth's Global Digital Health 100 Award List.

3. Mishawaka, Ind.-based Franciscan Alliance began implementing Vocera Communications' clinical communication suite.

4. Rochester, Minn.-based Mayo Clinic and Epic Systems have entered a $46 million sale-leaseback deal for the health system's 62,000 square-foot data center.

5. Epic's added approximately 1,400 employees in 2015, bringing its total workforce to approximately 9,400 individuals.
