Epic director Sasha TerMaat named chairperson of Electronic Health Record Association

The Electronic Health Record Association has announced leadership changes for the upcoming year, including a new chairperson, vice chair and two new executive committee members.

Sasha TerMaat, a director at Epic, will serve as the executive committee's chairperson. She is taking over duties for Leigh Burchell, vice president of policy and government affairs of Allscripts.

Richard Loomis, MD, vice president and CMO of Practice Fusion, was elected as vice chair of the executive committee as Sarah Corley, MD, CMO of NextGen Healthcare, ends her two-year term as vice chair.

Two executive committee members were newly elected to two-year terms: Hans Buitendijk, a senior strategist of standards and regulations at Cerner, and Mike Marchlik, vice president of compliance and regulatory affairs at McKesson.

Additionally, Pamela Chapman, director of clinical product and regulatory affairs at e-MDs, was reelected for a two-year term on the executive committee.
