Coordinated Care Oklahoma, DrFirst partner for HIPAA-compliant communication platform

DrFirst is partnering with Coordinated Care Oklahoma to integrate Backline, its secure, HIPAA-compliant communication and collaboration tool, into CCO's health information exchange.

As per the partnership, CCO will use the Backline platform to securely connect the CCO healthcare community. The platform enables real-time communications, including data exchange, via encrypted messaging.

The partnership is the first time the Backline platform has been integrated into an HIE.

"As a health information organization touching every setting across a population of over 4.8 million patients, it has become of vital importance to implement solutions that streamline and enhance in care coordination and hand-off processes," said Rodolfo Alvarez del Castillo, MD, CCO network director.
