The average app quality score, according to the report, is 66.5 out of 100, equivalent to a "D" grade. However, medical apps received an average quality score of 78, and health and fitness apps received an average quality score of 76.

App quality was ranked using Applause Analytics, a mobile app analytics tool that calculates quality scores on a scale from 0 to 100.
