Cleveland Clinic, Mayo Clinic to share analytics, algorithms on Apervita

Cleveland Clinic is the latest health system to share its health analytics algorithms in the Apervita Market.

Apervita is a health analytics community and marketplace where healthcare institutions can share datasets, insights and algorithms with a community of health researchers and clinicians.

Cleveland Clinic's algorithm portfolio spans a number of specialties, including cardiology, surgery, oncology, behavioral health and diabetes.

"At Cleveland Clinic we have developed advanced prediction models to assist health enterprises and professionals to rapidly process large volumes of patient data, taking the burden off the physician, allowing them to dedicate more time to their patients," said Michael Kattan, PhD, chair of quantitative health sciences at Cleveland Clinic. "Apervita provides Cleveland Clinic with a unique approach to make this knowledge computable and share it with a broad audience, increasing its impact on health."

In February, Rochester, Minn.-based Mayo Clinic also started sharing analytics and algorithms on Apervita's platform.
