Cerner recognized by Missouri Chamber of Commerce

The Missouri Chamber of Commerce honored Kansas City, Mo.-based Cerner last week with its Champion of Enterprise award for its significant contributions to the state and record year, reports Kansas City Business Journal.

This year, Cerner began construction on its new Trails Campus, finalized its acquisition of Siemens Health Services and was part of the team that won a historic contract with the Department of Defense to overhaul the military record system.

"It's a nice opportunity to share this with our clients. It's a reflection of the work they've been doing and what we've been doing with them," Cerner President Zane Burke told Kansas City Business Journal. "It does drive you to what are the next things we're going to do. The same thing for Kansas City. The responsibility for growth and our commitment to the city and the growth we plan on doing for the new development campus. The impetus to continue to work hard and see through the vision of Cerner."
